As a soon-to-be mom, I really had no idea what I would do with a Pack and Play. I did know that seemingly every other mother had this product on her registry, and I realized that this product was marketed as a 3 in 1 product. I added a Graco Pack and Play to my registry, figuring that I would figure it out as I went! Imagine my surprise when I actually received two pack and plays at my shower!
As a parent now, I have ended up with three pack and plays! This product was a lifesaver during the first few weeks after giving birth and is still useful now! I started out using it as an alternate changing table on the first floor of my home – this allowed me to not have to walk upstairs to change the baby. I also was able to use the bassinet feature to allow my baby to nap in my living room. Later, the pack and play is great as a travel crib, in fact, if you request a crib at a hotel, chances are that you will receive a pack and play. These are perfect as an alternate crib at grandma’s house. A pack and play is also great as a safe place to put the baby down to play when you have to make dinner, answer a ringing phone, or take a quick shower.
The Graco model that I received worked so well in all modes! It assembles very quickly and easily, has a diaper changing insert, as well as a bassinet insert, and has a light, vibration, and music feature. In addition, you can purchase pack and play sheets that allow you to always have a clean set!
