Mommy, can you read it again?

by Chris on February 3, 2007

We all know how it feels to read a child’s favored book over and over and over again. Thankfully, my husband and I have found a few books that we can’t get enough of, too. Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman’s “Bear” books, especially “Bear Snores On“ are just adorable. With cute prose and colorful, engaging illustrations, these books are perfect for birthday, new baby, and holiday gifts. The series includes “Bear Wants More,” “Bear Stays Up for Christmas,” and “Bear’s New Friend.” I’ve already shared them with my cousin for the birth of her second child and as a birthday gift for my niece. I have to say I do enjoy doing all of the animal voices, too.

As my son has become more and more interested in all things transportation, I have enjoyed an education on excavators, backhoe loaders, and tractors. Of course, this has included all sorts of picture books labeling each big truck. I have to say I have become quite enamored with two of his most favorite books, “I Stink” by Kate and Jim McMullan and “Dig Dig Digging” by Margaret Mayo and Alex Ayliffe. These are perfect for any boy or girl that enjoys seeing, hearing, and reading all about trucks or specifically, those stinky garbage trucks. You can find these books at Amazon.com – Bear Snores On Mommy, can you read it again?, Bear Wants More Mommy, can you read it again?, Bear Stays Up For Christmas Mommy, can you read it again?, Bear’s New Friend Mommy, can you read it again?, I Stink Mommy, can you read it again?, and Dig, Dig, Digging Mommy, can you read it again?.
