Making an Experience out of Receiving Gifts.

by Chris on March 7, 2008

Before I had children, I really thought about how to give gifts that meant something to the little ones in my life. I wanted them to remember the gift. For it to mean something more than the dollar amount I spent on it. We all know that some of the best toys or gifts are the ones you never expect. As a parent, that’s the reason I read and write reviews. Getting a real life-experience opinion can make a big difference in a gift that is a dud and a gift that is a success. Another option is to make the receiving of the gift an adventure. Even a small gift can be made into an EXPERIENCE when the receiving is so special.

Recently, we were given an opportunity to try out Giftventure. Through Giftventure, you are provided with the materials to make a true experience for your child. You may want to make an adventure out of Easter, Christmas, a birthday, or even for no reason at all. Choose an occasion and a gift and then head over to Giftventure. Through their easy ordering process, you get to choose the adventure. Would you like that special someone to find “buried treasure” with Captain Percy the Pirate or go on the trail with the Easter Bunny? You simply choose the adventure and the character that best fits the event and the child’s interests. Within a short period of time, you or the person designated by you will receive three letters from the character or the child will receive each one individually.

We chose to enjoy a pirate adventure with our sons. The first letter asked us to solve a puzzle and place the answer near a window. The next day, another letter ‘magically’ appeared with our treasure map. It was fun to solve it with the boys. They definitely needed assistance as this Giftventure is geared towards children a bit older. Finally we received another set of directions to use with our map and found our gift in a mysterious spot…Mommy and Daddy’s closet. icon smile Making an Experience out of Receiving Gifts. What fun!

If you have a child who would totally enjoy an adventure along with that Easter basket or birthday gift or any type of gift, please check out Giftventure here. For Easter, you can receive 10% off your order with the code “momcentral” and if you order before March 15, you’ll receive reduced shipping costs also.
