After all of the toys my kids got over the holidays, we’ve been looking for some old fashioned fun toys – things that require my daughter to think rather than just push buttons. She actually loves putting together puzzles, and I’ve been impressed with how she really is able to focus on the task and have fun at the same time.
We received some great puzzles from Briarpatch. Briarpatch sells a wide variety of educational toys and puzzles, some from licensed characters and brands such as Thomas the Tank Engine and Goodnight Moon. On a recent sick day, I finally turned off the television in favor of the puzzles. My daughter was captivated with all of them, particularly the Fancy Nancy puzzle which is not only pink, but sparkly too! While it is a bit above her age level, the two of us together had lots of fun putting it together.
