Camp Baby Part 1

Johnson’s Camp Baby is over, and I have so much to blog about.  This is part 1, and I’m sure there are many more parts to come!  Keep checking for more updates…

For those of you who don’t know, Camp Baby was sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, and involved lots of sessions with some fun stuff spread throughout.  Much of the blogger community seems to know each other (through BlogHer, perhaps?) but lots of us met for the first time.

Day 1: Arrival and Welcome Social

After arriving at our destination, I met up with several women who were on my flight. GM provided transportation in a fleet of brand new SUVs and Minivans.  I was impressed with all of the cars, but was especially pleased when I heard how energy efficient the hybrid SUVs are (about the same fuel efficiency as a Toyota Camry).  I hate wasting gas – one of my big pet peeves with large vehicles!

The hotel was amazing.  Food was great, the conference facility was top notch, and best of all, the bed was comfortable (Click here for the hotel website if anyone is interested)!

After visiting the arrival lounge and meeting with several wonderful women, I got ready for our social.  Ted Allen, of Queer Eye and Top Chef fame, hosted a food and wine pairing tasting.  Ted has a contract with Constellation Wines (Robert Mondavi), so they gracially provided all of the wines – which were fabulous.  In person, Ted was such a great guy – so willing to talk about any of his shows.  We all had lots of fun.

After the welcome social, a bunch of us ended up in one room talking all night!  I enjoyed talking with:
