The VTech ip3800 comes with a handset and an internet base. The base must be connected to a wireless router as well as a telephone jack, while the handset just needs to be plugged into an electric outlet. Set up for me was extremely easy – but please note that you will need a phone jack near your wireless router.
The phone has great sound quality, working with DECT 6.0 digital technology. It also integrates seemlessly with your Yahoo! account, and you can actually check your email, receive and send IMs, check weather forecasts, sports scores, and access Yahoo search! The ip8300 allows you to set up separate profiles for other members of your family, so the whole family can use it!
