I love children’s books…picture books, juvenile lit, and all things fantasy, fun, and adventurous! A few years ago, in 2003, I was introduced to Artemis Fowl in his first book, of the same name, and in Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident. I really enjoyed it and I can only imagine reading it to my boys once they are a bit older to understand the plot better. This is why I was super excited to receive a preview copy of the sixth book in the series.
Artemis Fowl:The Time Paradox is a great addition to the series. It’s fun, adventurous, and witty. An epic tale following the likes of Artemis Fowl, a ‘criminal mastermind,’ as he strives to protect his family, the series and the latest book are sure to attract and keep any young boy or girl’s attention. In the latest volume, Artemis’ mother contracts a life-threatening illness, which can only be cured by a plant that was made extinct years earlier….by Artemis. Artemis must go back in time to do what he can to save his mother. Not only a ‘drag you in, keep you there’ kind of book, it’s one full of lessons that mom or dad can appreciate. In only a few years time, I can see myself sitting on my son’s bed reading a chapter or two (or 3 or 4) a night before bedtime. Even now, I find myself totally enthralled and captivated by it.
If you’re looking for a little adventure with your children (or without), you can find Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox at Amazon.com.
