Dancing to the Beat that Disney Puts Out

If your little one is a fan of Handy Manny, Little Einsteins, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, then you know all about Playhouse Disney. You may even know about the little snippets of music you can catch between the shows. A little bit of They Might Be Giants, perhaps the Imagination Movers, Ralph’s World and you have a fun way to start the day. My son’s love those videos as we all ‘rock’ out for the 3 to 4 minutes before or after our favorite show, Little Einsteins. Recently, we received some of the recent CDs released from Disney and I was surprised to discover how much I and my husband have enjoyed them.

My husband and I love music! We have eclectic tastes but I would never say that I like cheesy, kid music. That’s what is great about the new music from Disney, it’s rhythmical, lyrical, and witty. Juice Box Heroes from the Imagination Movers sounds like a mix of ska and pop, while Choo Choo Soul has a more hip hop beat. The Ralph’s World CD, Rhyming Circus, is witty and fun. Our favorite is Here Come the 1,2,3′s by They Might Be Giants. It’s the type of music you can’t get out of your head…but in a good way. Who can resist “I Can Add” or “Seven Days of the Week?” I love that I’m hearing my three year old singing these songs because I know he’s learning his numbers and his days of the week. Including many favorite Disney songs, Disney Music Block Party is a mix of some great artists. My son loves the Imagination Movers’ version of “I Wan’na Be Like You” and Ralph’s World’s version of “Mickey Mouse Club March.”

You can find all of these fun CDs and some samples to listen to at Disney Music.
