I’ve been trying to help teach my daughter and son preschool and pre-k skills on the days they are home with me. We’ve been using some great workbooks from Schoolzone to help guide all of us.
The first workbook is the 320 page Big Alphabet Workbook. My daughter has really loved playing with this one especially. It teaches tracing skills for shapes and letters, and reinforces the letter/word relationship. Because the tracing feels like drawing to her, she thinks it’s a game or toy, and not necessarily learning.
The second workbook is a pre-K book called Math Readiness Stickers. It encourages beginning math skills through counting and stickers. This one is more appropriate for a slightly older child – my 3 year old understands some of it but will really get it in within the next few months.
