I was a tomboy of the highest order. I loved mud, dirt, and bugs. I really can’t believe the things I would do outside. Whether it be making actual mud cakes or collecting caterpillars, I loved getting dirty. I’ll admit I often screech when I come across a bug or other creature now, but then…all this stuff was cool. I would have loved having Uncle Milton’s mini bug viewers. The Ladybug Playground and Roly Poly Playground are just too cool. They are little domed habitats perfect for ladybugs, pill bugs, and other tiny creepy crawlers. For little boys or girls that love collecting bugs, these are perfect. Each includes a little domed top with a ‘playground’ base. Simply collect the little guys, place on the base, and slip on the top, which include air holes for those little buggies.
So now that I’m a mom and not so much into ‘dirty’ things, I love that it’s a safe,
clean way for the boys to learn about bugs. They can watch them crawl, slide, sleep, and eat. Of course, collecting the bugs is half the fun and definitely the dirty part.
You can learn more about Uncle Milton’s Ladybug Playground and Roly Poly Playground on their website here or you can purchase them at Amazon.com here or here.

Highly recommend this! One thing that we learned is that the ladybugs will munch on a raisen if you place one inside the dome. Our kids loved this.
