Supporting Your Local Schools with Holiday Shopping

boxtops Supporting Your Local Schools with Holiday ShoppingIf you have a child in school, then you’ve probably heard of Box Tops for Education. Even when we lived overseas, I would save our box tops for the local American school. There was a certain sense of accomplishment in filling a baggie and knowing that it would help the school with funding. Of course, it doesn’t take much to make sure you pull or cut the top off of the appropriate boxes…just a little thoughtfulness before tossing it into the trash or recycling bin. Recently, Box Tops for Education has launched a whole new way for you to help donate money to your local school…it’s even easier than pulling off box tops. All you have to do is shop through the Box Tops for Education Marketplace.

Your first step is registering with the marketplace and then making sure that you always stop there first to order through any one of the 70 participating vendors. A percentage of your order will go to the school you’ve designated in the registration process. That’s it! You’ll find stores perfect for holiday shopping like Barnes & Noble, GAP, Nordstrom, and Pottery Barn. Check out the Deals & Discounts sections to find ways to earn money for your school and save money on your purchases. It’s easy, simple, and all you have to do is check with the site before shopping online. I love that you can keep track of how much money you’ve earned for your school, too.

Visit Box Tops for Education here and see if you can help your school earn up to $20,000 dollars. Be sure to also pass the word on to aunts, uncles, grandparents, and other family members to register and designate your school for their online purchases.

We are very happy to announce a new giveaway. We have a $50 gift card to offer one winner for GAP.  Please leave a comment below to enter.  The giveaway will end Nov 29th at 11:59p.m. EST.  US residents only please.  Click here for our other giveaways!

We have been collecting box tops for my kid’s school for years now. I keep a baggy on the fridge so that we know to keep them all there then my kids take turns bringing them in.

The gift card would come in handy this Christmas. Thanks!

Our school makes collecting them fun, everyone has to save them up over the summer and the class with the most gets the kids a mini prize.
