More than a year ago, we reviewed the TykeLight, a fun and practical night light. You can check out our original review here. Today, we have the TykeLight Jr and GloMate to share with you. I was super excited to see these two new versions.
The TykeLight Jr. is very similar to the original TykeLight. It is safe for children to hold as it doesn’t get hot to the touch. Whether it’s for children and middle of the night potty trips or for parents checking on their little ones, the TykeLight Jr. provides just the right amount of illumination. The TykeLight Jr. is a travel ready light that is battery operated and can be taken on trips away from home. It is the same size as the TykeLight but doesn’t have the plug for recharging. I love that we can take ours on our future trip home to visit the grandparents. Not only is it a perfectly practical nightlight, but it is also a buddy that is familiar and friendly while we’re away from home.
The GloMate is very similar to the other models, but has a few cool tweaks. You can light your buddy in one of three colors (red, green or blue) or you can set it to constant changing flow of colors. It’s like watching a lava lamp, an aquarium, or a light show. For me, it very relaxing and entrancing. The GloMate is rechargeable and comes with a small base to sit on. If your GloMate is sitting on it’s base when the electricity goes out, it automatically lights up.
