We definitely need a lot of cordless phones in my home. I’m always going from room to room, and usually shut doors so that my kids don’t wander into the stairwell, which results in quite a few missed calls if I don’t carry the phone with me. I also really needed a phone in the kitchen, as I’m always missing calls during dinner (my kids aren’t the quietest at mealtime).
We just got a new VTech DS6121 for our kitchen. It’s a very sleek design, with a very lightweight handset. It’s also got a built-in answering machine, which can also be turned off easily. The VTech DS6121 has all of the essential cordless phone functionality, including caller ID and speakerphone. My favorite function of the phone, however, is the quality and range of the sound. It’s almost perfect, and I can carry the phone just about everywhere and it still sounds great.
