Dancing And Singing with Jim Cosgrove

We love music here in my household. Whether it’s mommy/daddy music, children-centered music or something in-between, we almost always have something playing in the background. It might be to pump us up for a great day, to get us out of the moody blues, or to calm us before nap or bedtime. It’s just a part of us. I’m always excited to discover new music, especially anything that will get us dancing. Almost all ills can be cured with a bit of music and it’s great to find music that the kids enjoy.

My sons have been enjoying Jim Cosgrove’s latest CD, Upside Down. No kid can hold off dancing to songs like “Buggy Hop,” “Pizza Tree,” and “Drink.” We love to put it on while we’re playing or when we’re in the mood for a little stretching of our dancing muscles. I love songs that allow my oldest son to practice his counting skills and “Seven Holes” does just that. Cosgrove’s rendition of “This Little Light of Mine” is fun and his “Dreamland” is a perfect way to calm the wild ones at the end of the CD.
