For all creative moms (and dads, kids, aunts, uncles, etc), Kroger is currently hosting a wonderful contest. From now until May 15, you can visit Kroger’s website and design a reusable bag. With your design entry, you will be entered into the Kroger Reusable Shopping Bag Contest. The top 10 bag designers will receive great prizes with the top winner receiving a $1,000 Kroger gift card and the opportunity of having their bag design sold in stores. Four finalists will be chosen to receive $250 Kroger gift cards and five runners-up will receive $100 gift cards.
Kroger is also offering designers a wonderful opportunity to share their designs. Once you’ve received your confirmation email on the design, you’ll be able to share your reusable bag design with family and friends. Kroger has also partnered up with Cafe Press so that you’ll be able to purchase merchandise with your design on it.

I use one of my extra reusable bags to hang on a hook inside the pantry door. We put all our recycleables in there and my son empties it into the large recycle bin in the garage when it is full. Saves us time so we aren’t constantly going in and out of the garage and it didn’t require purchasing something to use as a container.

That you can reuse them and not have any paper or plastic bags to throw a way and they are so much better for the ecology.
I just like the feeling that I’m not contributing to waste or the loss of trees.
I love not having torn bags and not being able to use them for any other use – with my reusable bags, I can take a change of clothes to work if I need to, take my lunch in them, tote the kids stuff here and there and be more environmentally conscious.
I love the satisfaction that I”m doing my part – ever so small – to help the environment.
I use my dillons shopping bags every week.
What I like best about reusable bags is that they are useful for multiple purposes. I use them to carry all sorts of items, not just groceries.

We currently use ‘hemp tote bags’ for all our grocery shopping!
A lot less clutter than plastic bags and it feels good knowing that my family and I are doing ‘our’ part to help the environment and stop the loss of our ‘precious’ trees!

I love reusable bags because they can be used over and over so I don’t add more waste to the planet. Plus, I keep thinking if the stores save money by not having to give out plastic bags that the cost of groceries might drop a little too. Thanks for the giveaway!
I like how much they hold! Things that would take 3-4 plastic bags easily fit into 1 reusable bag – and I don’t have to worry about it breaking on my way in from the car!
I always recycle my bags and am getting better about bringing my own with me to the stores. Some strores give yuo a credit for bringing your own bags. Every dime helps these days !!!

I love that they hold more than the plastic bags. They are larger and stronger.
One thing is that they can be had for free and two, you can even own the one you design. Now, if we just had a bedazzler…(NO!!!)
Honestly I love the variety of pretty patterns they come in, I get so many compliments and I use them all the time!
It took a wee bit of time before we got used to always making sure to take our reusable Kroger totes with us when we went shopping. They are a lot more sturdy than plastic bags, and hold a lot as well. Glad to see this was implemented.
Aside from the green factor, I like that they hold more than the plastic bags, making it easier for me to get the whole load of groceries inside with two kids underfoot!
It’s great to have a bag you don’t have to worry about tearing. The fact that it’s not adding to ou landfills is great.
I keep my reuseable bags in my car at all times, not only do we use them for groceries but for our library books and for cleaning out the car , after a road trip.
I like knowing that I’m helping keep our planet green for my children and their children to come. I do keep all of mine in my car and have even gotten some as gifts!!
