Aroma Rice Cooker – Not Just For Steaming Rice

I’ve recently started using an Aroma ARC-1000 Rice Cooker, and it’s just as I remember it!  To use it, you simply rinse the rice, add it to the cooker with some water, and press the “white rice” or “brown rice” button.  The rest is done for you!  The cooked rice is much better than any rice I’ve made in a pot on the stove or in the microwave, and cleanup is a breeze.

But, the best thing, is that many other foods can be cooked in the rice cooker.  There’s a small recipe book included that tells you how to make everything from steamed vegetables to bread pudding.  It’s simple – for the most part it just involves adding the ingredients and pressing a button!  I added some fresh asparagus to the insert to our rice cooker, and in no time with little work, I had a rice dish and a veggie dish!
