You may know Method for their cleaning products (see here for my review of some of their new releases), but did you know that they make a line of products to keep your baby clean too? The Method Baby and Method Kid lines offer a collection of products to keep your munchkins clean, soft and smelling good.
Oh, the smell. I admit that I was a bit skeptical when I saw that the Method Baby collection came in the scent milkweed and mallow. It didn’t sound particularly appetizing, but it is now my new favorite scent. See if you can imagine this – it smells exactly like calm baby. What a welcome smell to any mother! Never mind the water splashed on the floor, when I’m lathering my kids in milkweed and mallow
Squeaky Green Hair and Body Wash (which by the way is also 99% natural, tear-free, hypo-allergenic and pediatrician tested), all is well in the world. Another reason to love this bath soap? The soap comes in an easy-to-use pump and the large cap doubles as a cup to wash off the soap – brilliant!
The Squeaky Green line also includes a body lotion, bubble bath and diaper cream as well as laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The Squeaky Green body lotion is moisturizing but absorbs quickly and doesn’t irritate my baby’s (or my) skin. The Bubbly Bath doesn’t produce tons of bubbles (likely because it is made from 99% natural ingredients and doesn’t contain chemical sudsing agents), but fills the bath with its calming smell. My youngest isn’t prone to diaper rash so I can’t speak to how effective the Squeaky Green Diaper Cream is but I love the pump dispenser (who has two hands free when you’re changing a diaper?), the scent (milkweed and mallow again) and the creamy consistency – easy to wipe on and off a sensitive bum.
Two of my favorite pieces in the collection are the Squeaky Green laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Phosphate-free, dye-free and hypo-allergenic, this triple-concentrated, biodegradable detergent is easy on the earth while tough on dirt. Although sold under their Method Baby collection, I’m so in love with the milkweed and mallow scent (can you tell?) that I’m using it on all our laundry – at least I can have the smell of calm baby surrounding me throughout the day in my clothes, even if not in reality. For those not obsessed with milkweed and mallow, Method also offers their laundry soap in sweet water and a free + clear version.

Just wanted to make a tiny correction to your post – that sweet and soothing fragrance you smell in the products is called rice milk + mallow (rather than milkweed + mallow).
