When we go on road trips, we always pack lots of drinks for the road – coffee for dad, water for mom, and water in cups for kids. Obviously we don’t want to deal with any spills – but it always seems to happen. So, for our summer road trips this year, we were excited to try out the Contigo AUTOSEAL mugs for kids, as well as the AUTOSEAL Stainless Steel Mug, and the AUTOSEAL Hydration Bottle. The AUTOSEAL actually seals the opening between sips, so it prevents leaks and spills.
My husband loves using the AUTOSEAL Stainless Steel Mug, because it actually keeps his coffee hot, but doesn’t spill as he drinks it. But our favorite product is the AUTOSEAL mugs for kids, which is the perfect step between a sippy cup and an open cup. It doesn’t spill at all, yet my kids are still able to easily drink from it. They love their mugs, and between road trips we use them as “on the go” cups for the park and local drives.

Is it hard to get the liquid out? We are trying a similar cup by Platex, I think, and the kids have to suck really hard to get a significant amount out. It’s really hard for my 2 yr old.
You actually press a button to get the liquid out – so I wouldn’t recommend it for a young 2 y/o. However, my son just turned 3, and he’s able to use it just fine.
