My husband and I are married 60 years this year, so we live alone. Our children do not live close to us, so we keep busy with friends, and volunteer “jobs”. We eat all breakfasts together as well as dinners. Most lunches, too. So I’d say out of 21 meals each week, we probably eat 18 together. That’s what happens folks, when you get old!! We are both 82 years old, and not slowing down YET!

We tend to enjoy dinner together, it lets us all catch up on one another’s day and we keep the tv off, put on the answering machine and all just focus on each other! I buy stouffers meals as my lunch for work, so this would be a great time and money saver for me. Thanks for the chance! Hope you’ll follow my blog when you get a chance. (Ascending Butterfly)

My goal for me and my kids is 7 nights a week, but for all of us including my husband, it’s 3 nights a week since the other nights he doesn’t get off work in time to be home for dinner anyhow.

My goal was 7 nights but our family is working 3 diff shifts, sometimes 4 so I consider that everyone who is not working eats together a success.

My goal is to start turning off the tv and turn on some nice tunes and sitting down w/ the family during dinner 7 days a week.

My goal is 4 night but I don’t think that will happen because of the erratic work schedules.

My goal is 7 days but sometimes because of different schedules we don’t make that goal. I make sure that there is a homecooked meal for whoever doesn’t make it in time for dinner.

We try to do 5… and usually succeed. Saturday is kind of a free for all so it is rare that we all eat together then, and Wednesdays are sports nite, so everyone takes care of themselves again. Most other days, we all sit down and eat together, even if it is in front of the tv sometimes :)
Thanks for the super contest!
