Giving the Gift of Summer Reading With Leapfrog

by Jodi on August 8, 2009

By now, you’ve probably heard about the wonderful Leapfrog Tag System for kids aged 4+ and the Leapfrog Tag Junior for kids aged 2-4 years old.  They are a great way to introduce the joy of reading to young kids, and include books with stories of recognizable characters.  My son loves his Tag Junior, and my daughter loves her Tag.

But, you may not know about the amazing Leapfrog Summer Reading program.  Leapfrog has chosen 25 summer reading ambassadors across the country, including me, to help them spread the word about the importance of summer reading by donating Tag and Tag Junior kits to local families, libraries, and daycares.

Leapfrog generously offered a bunch of kits, so I was able to donate a large kit (5 Tags and 10 books, plus 3 Tag Juniors and 6 books) to our local library – the Morse Institute Library.  I also donated a kit of 1 Tag and 1 Tag Junior to my kids’ daycare, and 2 kits to local families.

Feedback so far has been great.  The library, especially, was thrilled with the gift!  I want to thank Leapfrog for involving me, and for offering such wonderful products for my community!

Awesome! I went to one of their events last fall and was really impressed with their generosity and educational approach to toy and product development. I love that you were able to make a local impact as a result!
