New Leapfrog Products

by Jodi on October 2, 2009

If you regularly read this blog, you know that we LOVE Leapfrog products.  My kids each have Leapsters – my daughter got one for Christmas last year, and my son wanted one so badly that I recently bought him one.  They also enjoy playing with their Tag and Tag Junior systems. Leapfrog has just introduced some new products that go along with these systems.

First is the Leapster GameDigging for Dinosaurs.  While the game is really appropriate for kids ages 5 and up, my son LOVES it (although he doesn’t really understand it).  The game is compatible with both the Leapster and the Leapster 2, but there are expanded features for the Leapster 2.  While playing it, kids learn all about dinosaurs, including how and where they lived.

The next new product is the Learn to Read Phonics Book Sets.  These sets works with the standard Tag reader system, and are really wonderful in helping to teach kids how to read.  My daughter is at the very beginning stages of learning how sounds come together to make words, and this system is perfect for her.  There are several sets – long vowels with E & Y, and short vowels.

You can find these new Leapfrog products online or at your local toy store or book shop.
