A few weeks ago, I had a chance to attend opening day at Gillette Stadium to watch the New England Patriots and learn more about Verizon FiOs. Any of you who follow me on Twitter know that I went through a period of 8 days with limited internet and phone access with my Comcast connection – and after sitting around all day – twice – waiting for a tech (one day the tech arrived late and didn’t fix the problem, and the other day, the tech didn’t show up at all). So, we were actually seriously considering switching to FiOS, so it was great to learn more about it. Check out the video above to learn more about the features that I learned about, such as Social TV. (For the record, I had no intention of hogging the video camera – oops!).
Last week, we were finally free of our Comcast contract and got FiOs installed. The installation took about 5 hours (they do let you know that it does take quite a while), and when the tech (who was super-polite, professional, and friendly) left, I had extremely fast internet, clearer TV, and operational phones. We did have one hiccup when everything stopped working, but the same tech came back first thing in the morning, replaced the defective equipment, and gave me his direct cell phone number if I had any more issues.
We are loving it! I especially enjoy having the fast internet and all of the additional TV channels. To learn more about FiOs, visit http://www.factsonfios.com.
