My oldest son is big on snacking. In fact, he’s asking for another snack as I type this. As long as he eats his meals, I’m glad that he wants to eat more. We’ve always worried about his weight as he has often been on the lower end of the curve and his interest in eating more is a definite improvement. The hard part is finding snacks that he enjoys but that aren’t unhealthy. As a student I loved Pirate’s Booty as a snack between classes. As a mom, I was excited to introduce my son to the only flavor I knew of, aged white cheddar. However, it was with much excitement that I discovered a whole range of yummy Pirate’s Booty. We really enjoyed Sea Salt & Vinegar and Barbecue as our favorites. Not to be left behind, the other flavors, Bermuda Onion, Veggie, and Real Wisconsin Cheddar are also very tasty, light, and a great snack.
Here are the facts, Pirate’s Booty is gluten free, all natural, and free of trans fats. Each serving size bag includes 130 calories, except for the Aged Wisconsin Cheddar, which has 140. The Veggie flavor is vegan friendly and all flavors are nut-free. Please note, Pirate’s Booty does contain soy and the Vegan flavor is produced on equipment that manufactures dairy products. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to introduce my little guy to Pirate’s Booty yet.
If you’re in need of a new option for snack time, lunch boxes, or for Halloween treats, you can learn more about Pirate’s Booty here or you can purchase it in grocery stores or online at Amazon.com.
