High-Fiber Soup from Progresso

Progresso High Fiber 300x159 High Fiber Soup from ProgressoIn the cool winter months, I love to have cans of soup on hand for a quick lunch.  When I used to work in an office, I always kept soup cans in my drawer at work, just in case I didn’t have time to run out for lunch.

In general, I think of soup as warm and filling, but not as something especially nutritious.  My Blog Spark offered me the opportunity to receive the pictured gift pack, including a can of Progresso’s new high fiber soup.  Since fiber is one of those things that most of us don’t receive enough of in our diets, I really like eating something with some added fiber.

Progresso’s new high-fiber line includes four delicious soup varieties – Chicken Tuscany, Creamy Tomato Basil, Hearty Vegetable and Noodles and Homestyle Minestrone. They have 28% of the recommended Daily Value of fiber per serving (7 grams).  The soup I tried is great – I didn’t find it as salty as other canned soups I’ve eaten.

Would you like to win one of these prize packs?  Leave a comment below to be entered!  Contest ends 11/24 at 11:59am ET.  US Residents only.

I received the Progresso soup kit pictured at no cost.

What will they think of sticking fiber in next. I’d really like to try the creamy tomato basil.

I wonder how they get the fiber into it. Do the add lots of fibery vegetables or is it added fiber like Fiber One? I would want to try the hearty vegetables and noodles.
