My kids love bugs and insects, and so when I first learned about Insect Lore at the Time to Play Spring & Summer Showcase, I knew they had some products that my kids would absolutely love! At the showcase, I picked up a Butterfly Bungalow, and then received the Ladybug Land in the mail.
Both of these products include live animals, so when you receive the package, you’ll get a certificate to order them at a convenient time. With the ladybugs, you’ll get a little tube with food and larvae, and with the butterflies, you’ll receive live caterpillars and food. My kids loved receiving the little packages, and learning about how they would develop.
After a few weeks, the ladybug larvae turned to bright red ladybugs, while the caterpillars turned into their cocoons. Once they turned into their cocoons, my daughter brought them into her pre-K classroom – she was that excited!
Insect Lore products are a great gift for kids – mine so enjoyed watching the development process.

My kids would LOVE this! I hope I win!
My daughter’s preschool class had the Butterfly Garden and it was so exciting for them to watch the process. My daughter was out sick on the day they let the Butterflies free… so I would love to get her one for us here at home. It’s such a lovely idea!
I would love one of these! It’s the perfect “pet” for us, especially since we can read The Hungry Caterpillar without having to actually open the book.
This sounds like such a great teaching tool! My son would love to see them changing and growing.
How fun! My son would enjoy watching his own caterpillar turn into a butterfly!
My daughter would just this! I love that this is fun and very educational!
This is perfect, reminds me of an Ant Farm! I am going to have to get this for my niece.
