I’ve complained about my acne problems in the past loads of times, and as you can imagine, the summer generally results in more acne for me. In addition, I’ve been working harder and harder to protect my skin from the sun’s damaging rays after discovering a precancerous mole a few months ago. So, more than ever, I have to work hard to treat my skin.
I had the chance to try out a few products from Neutrogena that are perfect for the summer.
Neutrogena 7-day Intervention Kit
This kit includes a daily scrub and small individual tubes of salicylic acid. My skin was pretty beat up after my trip to Walt Disney World in May, so I really needed an “intervention”. This product didn’t disappoint! It’s a great way to jump start your acne routine.
Spectrum Plus Sunblock Lotion (SPF 70)
I’m so pleased the Neutrogena has developed a strong sunscreen that works well and is reasonably priced. This is my go-to sunscreen on hot days because it really works! And, while my daughter is super-sensitive to some sunscreens, this one doesn’t bother her skin at all.
Neutrogena Clinical
I received the kit, which includes the base and the activating face cream and eye cream. I love how this cream feels on the skin, and it definitely made my skin look good! One caveat though – I’d recommend going light on the base, because it doesn’t take too much to work. I overused it at first, which made it peel on my skin (and I ran out of it before the face cream and eye cream).
Triple-Moisture Split End Mender
My hair was also a disaster after my trip (from chlorine, probably) so I really needed this. It’s a lightweight cream that you apply to damp hair. It’s easy to use and reasonably priced.
Disclosure: I received free samples of these products at no cost.
