The Cover of Ruby's School Walk
My daughter is heading off to kindergarten this fall, and we have been spending the summer together – going on adventures, having “ladies’ lunches”, and reading books. We recently received a copy of Barefoot Books’ newest title – Ruby’s School Walk. Ruby, a little girl with a wild imagination, sees the craziest things on her walk to school, including crocodiles and bats. She knows that she has to be brave, even though her mom thinks she’s imagining it.
My daughter loves this book, even though she knows Ruby’s imagining the things she’s seeing. The message of being brave is a great one for her, especially as she is starting to get cold feet about starting kindergarten in the fall.
