I got married almost 12 years ago, and the pots and pans that we received for our wedding our still our everyday pans. In honor of Heart Health Month, I had the chance to receive a Farberware Restaurant Pro 12-Inch Open Skillet. Thanks to the Teflon Platinum nonstick surface, it requires almost no oil or butter.
When I opened the package, I was surprised to see how big a 12-inch pan really is. We immediately used it to cook dinner that night, and were so impressed with how non-stick it really is. Although we did use olive oil, it would almost non-essential. This pan is definitely a great way to cut back on unwanted oils and fats. Clean up is also a breeze. You just wipe it down with a sponge soaked in dish soap and water, and rinse.

I’m expecting next month and planning to make my baby’s food once he or she is older … though it’ll be some time before I need to use the skillet for his/her food, it’ll help Mom and Dad have some quick, easy meals during the early days of parenting!

I could always use new pans. I tend to use metal utensils on occasion, scratching the non-stick surface, making it not-so-non-stick.

This is the size skillet I use most often so mine is very worn. I’d love to get a new one.

I can always use new pans because I have a tendency to have the heat too high and the result is a warped pan or various types of food stuck to the pan permanently. You would think I would learn a lesson from my wife about having the heat up too high, but you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

I would love it because my pots and pans consist of a cheap 7 piece set that cost me $30 3 years ago and the frying pan/skillet is a whopping 9″ pan, way too small.
