I was at BlogHer 2012 this past weekend, and it was fabulous. I know that right now everyone is commenting on the negatives at BlogHer, and there certainly were some. But overall, I had a great weekend and I truly enjoyed myself. I can’t wait until next year.
I’ll be posting more on the sponsors at BlogHer, as I usually do, but I thought I’d start my BlogHer recaps with a little top 6 of things people said to me at BlogHer. In no particular order…
1. Can I scan you?
This year, the badges had bar and QR codes, and the sponsors in the expo had little scanners to collect our info. That meant less business cards being handed out, although the ubiquitous “fish bowl” giveaways were still there. Who knows if these scanners actually worked, and if the brands will follow up.
2. I love your bag!
Yep, I love that gorgeous ocean blue Tory Burch Robinson Tote too!
3. How tall Are you?
4’11” baby. And, I embrace it!
4. Oh, did you come on the McDonald’s bus from Boston?
Indeed, I did. Huge thanks to McDonald’s of Eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island for transporting a whole bunch of us from the Boston suburbs right to the Hilton.
5. How many pairs of shoes did you end up bringing?
I’m not Jodi Fur. See?
6. Wow, you’ve been traveling a lot, haven’t you?
I have, and I love it!

Yes! But people kept asking me for travel tips! Which I didn’t have!
So wonderful to see you, and finally get our picture together!
The scanning thing was both cool and at times creepy. Some peeps didn’t always ask if they could scan, they just reached over and did it. #truestory
