I remember Alberto VO5 from my childhood – it was popular for its hot oil, which I used to use all of the time. I’d fill a coffee cup with hot water, heat the oil, and then apply it to my hair in the shower. It always made my permed hair (hey, it was the 80s) softer and healthier. Well, VO5 is still around, and they still make hot oil, but they also make some great smelling shampoos and conditioners, all available at a fabulous price!
Vo5 was at Blissdom this year, and they provided me with some samples of their products. I also learned about what the Vo5 actually stands for – a blend of five vitamins, including Vitamin E, Vitamin C, Vitamin H, Vitamin B5, and Vitamin B3. I was most excited to check out the Pomegranate and Grape Seed products – they smell so fresh and clean. They work well too, and leave my hair very shiny and manageable. I was happy to hear that Vo5 also still makes the hot oil – I’ve really enjoyed using it again!
