My daughter loves doing arts and crafts – especially with her two grandmothers. Crafting allows her to create something of her very own, and gives her a sense of accomplishment. So, it only makes sense that she’d love the American Girl Crafts. They recently introduced a whole collection of crafts celebrating McKenna, the 2012 Girl of the Year. We received a collection of them, and my daughter has being loving them.
The crafts showcase aspects of McKenna’s life, including her love of gymnastics and her pet hamster. Items include the Sticker Style Frame and Memory Album, the Super Spirit Card-Making Pad, the Star Spirit Hair Accessories, Color Coded Friendship Bracelets, an Iron-On Drawstring Bag, and a Sew and Stuff hamster pillow. They are all fun items that kids can create themselves while showcasing their individuality.
My daughter has had fun playing with these crafts with me and her grandmas – they are the perfect school vacation or half-day activity!
