Be a Tooth Fairy Hero With Tom’s of Maine

Tom's of Maine Giveaway

February is Children’s Dental Health Month, but I think we should be concerned with children’s dental health year round.  Kids these days drink so much juice and eat so much candy and sugary stuff that it’s really difficult to counterbalance with  brushing alone.  Take a look at these stats that Tom’s of Maine put together about kids’ dental health.

Although it’s not easy, I do make sure my kids brush their teeth vigorously for a few minutes twice a day, and also have them rinse with a fluoride rinse to help prevent cavities.  We use the Strawberry toothpaste and fluoride rinse from Tom’s of Maine, because they are more natural than other products and my kids love the taste.

Of course, there’s some fun stuff associated with kids’ dental health too – like the tooth fairy!  My son currently has several loose teeth, and we’ve had some recent visits from the tooth fairy.  In fact, like many parents, we’ve had to deal with that fun situation when your child loses their tooth (from their month), and then loses it again (on the ground), only to panic that the tooth fairy won’t leave them any money.  Oh, the things we deal with as parents!  This month, Tom’s of Maine is offering a fun “Be a Tooth Fairy Hero” initiative.  Parents of children ages 3 to 10 are invited to submit their child’s Tooth Fairy artwork at now through March 15.  All entries must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM ET on March 15, 2013.  The Tom’s of Maine “Be a Tooth Fairy Hero” program will make a $10,000 donation on behalf of ten randomly selected winners to a dental clinic in their state, plus provide toothpaste for the winning child’s school.

I’d love to win this for my daughter. She does such a good job brushing her teeth, and we’re approaching the time where she will be losing her first tooth soon.

  2. Rebecca Peters says

I would love this because this is the only fluoride toothpaste my 3 year old daughter will use..
