What to Expect, and How to Handle it

February 16th, 2007

When I was pregnant with my first child, my doctor’s office had recommended the What to Expect When You’re Expecting book.  It definitely helped me during that time.  After I had my child, a relative gave me a new book - What to Expect the First Year.   This book is organized in such a manner that it is very easy for anyone to understand - based upon the age of your child.  We were always trying to figure out if our child was on target developmentally, and what we needed to do to mentally stimulate her and help her grow and develop.  This book really helped with that!  In addition, this book provides very basic information that almost every parent needs to know.  I recommend not only reading the chapter with your child’s age, but also the chapter before and the chapter after.  That will give you a great perspective on your child’s development.

You can find What to Expect the First Year at Amazon.com.
