When my toddler was just a little girl, I looked all over for cute hair accessories that would hold those little wisps of hair.  I think I gave up too quickly, and cut that long hair into bangs.  I learned about Giddy Giddy clips last year and they sell the more adorable little felt clips for both little girls and big girls!

We have seen and used both the big girl clips and the little girl clips and they are both great for staying in the hair.  I think the little girl size is really more appropriate for the baby age, while the big girl size is better for toddlerhood and beyond!  All of the adorable designs are made of felt, and are very vibrant and adorable.
