A Snack You’ll Feel Good About Serving

March 28th, 2007

I have a toddler who loves snacking between meals, and I’m always on the lookout for new snacks.  She loves cookies and crackers, but I also like to give her healthy snacks.  Fresh fruit isn’t always available in our house, especially towards the end of the week when we are low on groceries.  So, when I learned about FruitaBu, organic smoooshed fruit, I was excited to learn more.

FruitaBu is available in two “formats” both flats and twirls.  The flats are long pieces, while the twirls are attached to sticky paper twirled in a circle.  The flats contain 1/2 serving of fruit while the twirls have a whole serving.  Both are fun for kids to eat, but because they are organic, and there is no sugar added (other than what naturally occurs in fruit), they are healthy too!

We did a mom taste test and a toddler taste test.  I was so pleasantly surprised to discover that these taste great - they actually taste like the fruit that they are made from!  My toddler loved them so much I couldn’t stop her from eating them!  She has been asking for them, and even has a favorite - raspberry!

You can find FruitaBu products at Whole Foods and Walmart.
