Passing the Love of Books on

April 22nd, 2007

I love reading and I love anything that helps instill that love in my children. The mothers at Gifted Grasshopper enjoy reading, too, and have found a great way to share that love with others. Their website offers cute gift sets that include an adorable tote filled with appropriate books. You can customize your tote by choosing a size, appropriate age of the child,  and a theme. For example, a tote made for a preschooler may include a copy of “A Color of his Own” by Leo Lionni or “Fish Eyes” by Lois Ehlert.

The larger totes provide the child with ‘reading’ glasses (they may provide special powers to help the child read) and a stuffed animal, Griffen the Grasshopper. Griffen is the perfect reading buddy for any child. My toddler absolutely loved Griffen, insisting upon holding him immediately after we opened the box.  Also included is a Gifted Grasshopper bookmark with helpful tips on reading with your child. I think a stuffed tote would be a great gift for any family welcoming their second or third child (especially as a sibling gift)! They also offer miniature totes to be used as party favors.  You can choose a price range and have the tote filled with a book or two (and customized to any theme you may have). How neat! The quality of both the miniature and larger totes is excellent - it’s definitely something that can be used later!

Visit the Gifted Grasshopper to purchase one of these great totes filled with gifts - http://www.giftedgrasshopper.com/.  Order now and use the code, SPRINGSALE10, for 10% off any order of $44.99 or more.
