I’m always on the lookout for great new diaper bags, and when I saw these new leather bags by Nest, I was intrigued.  They already have a huge celebrity following, but I wondered if they were practical for everyday use.  Since I received my new Nest Grommet Leather Diaper Bag, I’ve been so impressed at how truly useable it is!

At first glance, the Nest Grommet bag (the Whipstitch bag has a similar set-up to it) doesn’t look at all like a diaper bag.  It’s a structured leather bag with a stylish scarf tied through grommets at the top.  Because this scarf/grommet look is very popular with many upscale handbag manufacturers, this bag looks like a large handbag!  The leather is extremely soft and luxurious, although the bag does have some structure.  It stands up completely on it’s own!

Despite it’s gorgeous exterior, the Nest Grommet bag is extremely functional.  The most original feature of the bag is the zippered bottom section.  This separate section houses a nice sized changing pad, and can also hold plastic bags or even a wet bag!  The interior of the bag is a light colored aqua, so there is no black hole effect!  Furthermore, the interior lining zips out, and contains many completely useful pockets to hold things such as sippy cups and diaper cream.  The interior also has a key holder, and the side pockets are also useful as small mommy pockets.  In addition, there is a large pocket along the side that closes with a magnetic snap, perfect for paperwork or other items you’ll quickly need access to.
