Playing and Communicating with Learn to Sign Friends

June 18th, 2007

I love colorful toys. I love anything that can entertain either of my sons. I especially love it when toys help me to teach my sons. Recently, both of my sons have been playing with the Lamaze Learn to Sign Friends. These are 5 plates connected to a colorful ribbon with a link. Each plate has a colorful character depicting an emotion or feeling. On the opposing side, is a holograph of the corresponding sign. Very neat!

My youngest son loves to flick through the plates, mouth them, and just swish them around. For my oldest son, these are a great way to help him express his feelings. We all know how toddler have so much to say but, not always the words to say it. It is especially true of emotions. These are very handy to help us communicate and can be used to help halt any possible meltdowns.

You can find the Lamaze Learn to Sign Friends at http://shop.learningcurve.com/product/detail/LC27003?xcid=79. To receive 15% off of your complete order, use the code ‘momsfave’ until June 30,2007.
