As my daughter has grown more and more independent, we’ve really tried to get her to do some things on her own, such as washing her hands.
After one unfortunate incident where she turned on the hot water a little too much, she’s a little nervous about turning the sink on by herself. A product offered by the Museum Tour website (http://www.museumtour.com/), the temperature controlled faucet light, is fun for kids and also shows them if the water is hot or cold.
The Temperature Controlled Faucet Light attaches to faucets (there are included adaptors, although we did find that it didn’t work with ornate faucets), and the pressure of the water turns the light on. A blue light luminates the water when the temperature is below 89 degrees, while a red light comes on above 89 degrees. This is not only lots of fun for kids to see - it’s also a great way to get them comfortable with the water temp before touching the water.
The Museum Tour also offers other great, fun educational toys for children. Visit the Museum Tour at http://www.museumtour.com/, and click here to go direct to the faucet light.

This is an awesome idea! There are so many hazards out there to look out for!! I just might look into this for when my little princess is a bit older!!
