Decorative Arts for the Un-Artistic

October 29th, 2007

I love the idea of being crafty, love flexing my creative muscle, so to speak. Unfortunately, most, including myself, would not consider me ‘artistic.’ That’s why I was so excited to hear of Elephants on the Wall and the murals they offer for those just like me.  These are patterns of cute, unique designs for your house, especially for playrooms and children’s bedrooms. The mural comes with a pattern and transfer paper. Simply trace over the pattern and then follow the numbers to paint the corresponding colors. Very Foolproof! I was excited to see that the paints are all easily found at craft stores like Michael’s. Not only did I find it easy but it kind of fulfilled that need in me to be creative and artistic!

The pattern I chose was from the Sun, Surf, & Beach theme but, there are many cute options. I love Club Kids, Cowboys, and Dogs. How adorable is the napping greyhound…(if only they made a snoring bulldog!) Actually, Elephants on the Wall also offers custom murals. These murals are definitely a great alternative to many of those characters that we get enough of on videos, toys, clothes, and shoes.

Check out http://www.elephantsonthewall.com/ and if you order, be sure to use the code “MFS15” for 15% off your order.
