Teaching my preschool aged child important safety lessons is very difficult if not impossible.  Concepts such as fire safety don’t really seem to resonate with a 3 year old.  Danger Rangers has found a great way to educate young children on safety issues, including fires, water safety, and playground safety, with colorful characters and child-friendly storylines.

The Danger Ranger products are available as DVDs, storybooks, activity books, and coloring books.  We received items from the fire prevention series, and my preschooler was very excited to watch the DVD.  Because she is 3, she did not absorb all of the concepts in the video, specifically the fireworks safety, but she did enjoy the storyline and the characters.  A child a bit older, such as 4 and 5 would really get a lot out of this video.  The books are great to accompany the videos, because you can them do the activity books with your kids and discuss the themes.  All of these safety issues are extremely important, so having them in an entertaining and child-friendly format is so helpful for me as a parent.
