As the weather changes and the holiday season approaches, I find myself breaking out my holiday music, DVDs, and decorations. This is a great time of year and as my oldest son becomes more aware of the seasons, I’ve looked forward to introducing him to winter. Unfortunately (at least to us), where we live, it is still a warm 80 degrees and snow is definitely not on the horizon. That’s why I’ve found it so enjoyable to share Winter Wonderland with him.

Winter Wonderland is a new DVD that includes 6 episodes from some of our favorite characters. On our favorite, Thomas & Friends, the Island of Sodor just seems that much more inviting with snow falling on the engines. Equally loved is Bob the Builder and the gang as they tackle the effects of a winter storm….Can they plow it? YES, THEY CAN!  We’ve also enjoyed “Snowy Days” with ‘the dog with the slipper….Kipper,’ Fireman Sam, Barney, and Pingu. We love watching the snow and all of the winter fun. We’ve even been inspired by Barney to make our own snowflakes.
