Rock and Learn DVDs Teach Essential Skills

November 21st, 2007

As the weather has gotten colder, we’ve pulled out more and more DVDs for my kids to watch.  If my kids are going to watch tv, at least I want the content of some of the DVDs to be educational.  We recently received two DVDs from Rock and Learn that are both definitely very educational as well as entertaining for my kids.

The first DVD, Getting Ready for Kindergarten, is a must-have for preschoolers.  My daughter just loves the characters Jill and Joey, and the lessons in the DVD - getting dressed, cleaning your room, and tying your shoes, and definite necessities for her to learn.  The songs are fun and catchy, and the animated characters are captivating.

The second DVD, Alphabet, features a character Alphabet Al, who sings each letter of the alphabet in a catchy tune that you’ll have a hard time getting out of your head.  My daughter really enjoys watching this DVD, and frequently asks to watch it.  We are really trying to help her learn the alphabet, and this DVD definitely contributes to her learning.

You can find these two DVDs, as well as many others for all age groups, at http://www.rockandlearn.com/.
