Decorate a Dekoposh Purse with Your Little Girl

January 10th, 2008

As the weather has gotten colder, I’ve been looking for little arts and crafts projects to do with my preschool aged daughter.  In nicer weather, we’d go outside and play on her swingset, but with the snow, ice, and rain, it’s not possible.  When I learned about Dekoposh mini purse kits, I thought it would be a great project to make, and when it was complete, it would be something fun for my daughter to have.

Dekoposh mini purse kits include all of the items that are needed to make the mini-purse (except for the scissors).  Many different stylish options are available, from bright colors to pretty patterns.  The foundation of each purse is a 4×6 food grade metal tin, perfect to store coins, barrettes, and other small items.

Once you choose your purse, Dekoposh mails out the kit.  We received one of the animal print kits, and on a rainy day, my daughter and I assembled the purse.  Dekoposh recommends these kits for kids over 4 - my daughter is a bit younger than that and I think she would have enjoyed making the purse even more if she were a little older.  However, even at 3, she loves having the purse and it’s really a great size for her!
