Handler for Avoiding Germs

February 19th, 2008

The Handler Helps Prevent Germ SpreadingI am an admitted germophobe, especially in the winter, when cold and flu season hits.  Just the thought of the amount of people who touch door handles, ATM keypads, and restroom fixtures can completely freak me out.  When I came across the Handler, a small keychain/mechanical device that allows you to open doors, touch keypads, and other things without actually touching them, my first thought was fear that the Handler itself would then be super-germy.  But, since it’s made with bacteria and virus killing nano-slivers, it actually is constantly cleaning itself - making it the perfect solution for people like me!

The Handler, pictured here, is definitely small enough to work as a keychain.  It’s available in some pretty fun color combinations, so it is also stylish in addition to being totally functional.  The little “hook” opening device shoots out with the push of a button and can be closed just as easily so it doesn’t snag in your purse or pocket (it also makes the Handler kind of fun to play with).

You can find the Handler at Bed, Bath and Beyond, Duane Reade, and online at http://www.handlerusa.com.
