Swimming Comfortably, Safely, and Confidently

March 12th, 2008

Well, down where I live, Summertime is quickly approaching and it’s time to get out those swimsuits. As a family, we love the water, whether it be at the beach or in a pool, we love to swim, splash, dive, float, whatever! Unfortunately, there is always that fear that something just might happen in the water. The boys are always within reach, especially in the water, but you can definitely never be too safe! This is why I was excited to receive the Konfidence Float Suit for my oldest son. It is a combination swim suit with flotation device. The suit fits 8 removable floats and looks like an old fashion swimsuit with stripes..very vintage and cute. Back in the day, when I was a beginner swimmer, I had a ‘bubble,’ a flotation device that included  an oval ‘bubble-like’ float attached with a belt around the waste. Unfortunately, it wasn’t very comfortable as you often landed face first in the water as the float pushed your back up and the belt cut into your ribs. Not very safe and not much fun! The Konfidence Float Suit is not only comfy but definitely helps build your little one’s confidence while also allowing them to enjoy the water.

My little guy will be swimming in a Konfidence Baby Wet Suit. This wetsuit will keep him warm while also giving me easy access for diaper changings. I like how it has velcro to keep it snug on his shoulders and one on his bottom…making it much easier to get him in and out and also leaving his arms and legs free to splash and kick around. My favorite part of the Konfidence Baby Wet Suit is that it makes the little guy less slippery and I know I’ll have a good grasp as we glide around the pool. He can simply wear the wet suit as is or under a swimsuit for added sun exposure safety.

Konfidence is definitely a great place to look for any water activity gear for your kids. Their prices are very reasonable and with this code “18SWIM,” you’ll receive an added 10% off your order.
