Pounding the Pavement with New Balance

I run but I don’t really consider myself a runner. It’s always been something I do for myself…time to reflect, zone out, and just be. I don’t compete and I don’t keep track. I just run! For me, running gear doesn’t mean style first. It’s means pure grit, ready to take a beating, and comfort. That being said…a girl always wants to look her best, right? So lately I’ve been running with a partner, New Balance. I call New Balance a partner because not only are they putting out great gear but they’ve pledged to participate in the fight against breast cancer with their Lace Up for a Cure Collection. The collection offers clothes and shoes that fit well, provide support and comfort to your fitness efforts, and allow you to support an important cause.

My latest running efforts have seen me with a new pair of kicks…the New Balance 768 sneakers. They’re comfortable and supportive. There is nothing like breaking in a new pair of sneakers…it’s like a full gas of tank in the car…and I felt a little extra oompf to my stride. I’ve also been sporting the Lace Up Bonita Run Skirt…something I wasn’t sure if I would like, but I’ve actually been happy with the fit and the style.

For morning jogs on cool days or for trips to the gym, the Lace Up Sublime Hoody is perfect. It’s sleek, body-conforming, and keeps you at the perfect temperature. Pair the hoodie with a Lace Up Tempo Tank and you have the perfect combo. I love the style and the comfort but both allow me to concentrate on my struggle to breathe rather than the fit of a sleeve or a tag on my neck.

For a fit momma or one who strives to be, please check out the Lace Up for a Cure site here. You may just find the perfect gift for your mom for Mother’s Day and also help to support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
