Many pregnant mom looking at baby magazines probably long for a gorgeous, modern, and upscale nursery for their baby.  In the past, so many of those beautiful furniture sets and bedding collections were simply too much money for many moms to justify spending. 

Now, Babies R Us, the store of choice for many, many moms to be and new mommies (including Chris & I), is carrying some gorgeous furniture and bedding to allow almost all parents to decorate a dream new nursery.  

For a dark and rich look, I’d recommend the Baby Italia Eastside Cherry Collection, which includes a convertible crib, a chifforobe (a bureau with 5 pull out drawers and a hanging closet), and a changing table.  It’s perfect for a beautiful modern nursery, and would work for both a boy or a girl (great for hand me downs!).

For a light and airy look, I absolutely love the Southampton White Furniture.  It looks just like something you’d expect to see in an upscale Newport or Cape Cod nursery, and I wish this had been available when I was buying nursery furniture for my first child. 

Coordinating modern bedding collections are also available.  We checked out the Pop Daisy pattern, which manages to be baby-appropriate while still looking upscale and classy.  The included quilt and bumper is so soft and luxurious, and whole set just looks great with the furniture.   If you already have furniture that you bought a while ago, one of these new crib sets is the perfect way to change the look of the nursery.
