Spring and summer seem to be the worst time for air quality in my home. In the spring, we can keep the windows open to get fresh air, yet that fresh air seems to bring a layer of pollen in with it. In the summer, we often have to keep the windows closed because of the air conditioning, making the house musty and the air stale.
I’ve always been interested in trying an air purifier, but didn’t want something with filters that had to be replaced. As a busy mom, it’s hard to remember to buy new ones and regularly change them. So, I was excited to try out the Therapure Air Purification System.
The Therapure Air Purification System offers several different sizes devices, appropriate for different sized rooms. We are using the 101M, which is perfect for a bedroom (it’s for small & medium sized rooms). The filters do not have to be replaced - instead, they must be vacuumed every six months. We received our Therapure device right before a heat wave - with windows closed and pollen already in the house, it was the worst of both worlds.
The Therapure works to eliminate allergens and pollutants such as mold spores, pet hair and dander, and helps remove toxic fumes from cleaners, paint, and new carpet. It also contains a UV light which helps kills bacteria and viruses. With two young children, it’s great to be able to do something to help keep the air clean and prevent the inevitable spread of germs.
The Therapure works right out of the box with no set up and is nice and quiet. It also does project a small amount of cool air, which is nice on a warm day. We recently painted a few rooms of our house, and was pleased with how the Therapure seemed to help eliminate those fumes quickly. They are widely available - check out the website at http://www.therapureair.com.
