Cruising on the Disney Fantasy – the Disney Cruise Line’s Newest Ship

Disney Fantasy A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to cruise on Disney’s Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Fantasy.   If you read my travel blog, Family Travel Magazine, you may have seen some of my posts, but if not, here’s an overview.

As you’d expect, there are lots of family things to do on the Disney Fantasy – even more than I expected!   I’m hoping to cruise next year with my kids, and I know they’ll just love everything – especially the AquaDuck.   I loved the state room, which was a lot bigger than I expected for a cruise room.

Although our cruise was only three days (the Fantasy offers a 7-day itinerary typically), we did have the chance to check out Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island in the Bahamas.   I could have spent a week there – there’s so much to do and it’s so beautiful.

Of course, the restaurants on the Disney Fantasy are wonderful, offering lots of different choices.   I especially loved Animator’s Palette, where my drawing (as well as other guests’) came to life (check out the video below).

Finally, if you are thinking of cruising yourself, check out my advice for those going on a Disney Cruise.

Disclosure: I was aboard the Disney Fantasy as part of the Traveling Mom Retreat and my stay was complimentary.
